Color A, cast on 131 stitches or multiple of 4 stitches, plus 11 to adjust the width to the desired size.

Garter stitch border Knit 8 rows

All rows: Knit

Main Pattern Rows 1-6

  • Row 1 (RS): Color A, KNIT.
  • Row 2: Color A, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 3: Color A, KNIT.
  • Row 4: Color A, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 5: Color B, K7, *K3B, K3; repeat from * to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 6: Color B, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.

Main Pattern Rows 7-14

  • Row 7: Color B, KNIT.
  • Row 8: Color B, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 9: Color A, K5, *K3B, K3; repeat from * to last 6 sts, K3B, K5.
  • Row 10: Color A, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 11: Color A, KNIT.
  • Row 12: Color A, K4, PURL to last 4 sts, K4.
  • Row 13: Color B, K7, *K3B, K3; repeat from * to last 4 sts, K4.
