- Row 1 (RS): Color A, k4, *sl1 wyib, k3, sl1 wyib, k5; rep from * to last 9 sts, sl1, k3, sl1, k4.
- Row 2 and all WS rows: With same color used on previous row, knit the purl stitches and slip the slipped stitches with yarn in front as they face you.
- Row 3: Color B, k3, *sl1 wyib, k5, sl1 wyib, k3; rep from * to end.
- Row 5: Color A, k1, sl2 wyib, k7, *sl3 wyib, k7; rep from * to last 3 sts, sl2, k1.
- Row 7: Color B, k3, *sl1 wyib, k5, sl1 wyib, k3; rep from * to end.
- Row 9: Color A, k4, *sl1 wyib, k3, sl1 wyib, k5; rep from * to last 9 sts, sl1 wyib, k3, sl1 wyib, k4.
