Knit 6 rows in Garter stitch.

  • Row 7: Knit 8, *purl 1, knit 5; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, purl 1, knit 3.
  • Row 8: Knit 3, purl 1, *knit 1, purl 5; repeat from * to last 8 stitches, knit 1, purl 4, knit 3.
  • Row 9: Knit 6, *purl 1, knit 5; repeat from * to last 6 stitches, purl 1, knit 5.
  • Row 10: Knit 3, purl 3, *knit 1, purl 5; repeat from * to last 6 stitches, knit 1, purl 2, knit 3.
  • Row 11: Knit 4, *purl 1, knit 5; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, knit 2.
  • Row 12: Knit 3, *purl 5, knit 1; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, knit 3.

Repeat Rows 7 – 12 for desired length.

Then knit 6 rows in Garter stitch.
