Step 1

Hold the yarn in the back. Skip the first stitch, insert the right-hand needle into the front loop of the second stitch on the left-hand needle from left to right.

Step 2

Wrap the yarn counter clockwise around the right-hand needle.

Pull the new stitch through the stitch.
