Step-by-step Instructions

Learn how to knit the 1/1 Right Cross without a cable needle..

With the Reorder method, the stitches are rearranged directly on the needles, so there’s no need to drop any stitch.

The process is broken down into simple steps, each supported by clear photos, so you can follow along comfortably from start to finish.

Step 1: Slip 2 knitwise together

Hold the yarn in back, insert the right-hand needle knitwise into the first two stitches on the left-hand needle, then slip both stitches onto the right-hand needle at once.

Step 2: Transfer 2 stitches

Insert the left-hand needle into the front of the two slipped stitches on the right-hand needle from left to right, then slip all stitches onto the left-hand needle.

Step 3: Knit the stitches through the back loop

With the yarn in back, insert the right-hand needle into the first stitch through the back loop on the left-hand needle, wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the right-hand needle, and pull it through to create a new stitch. Slip the old stitch off the left-hand needle. Repeat the same process for the next stitch.
