Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1: Work 2nd stitch on LH Needle

Hold yarn in back, insert the right-hand needle purlwise into the front of the 2nd stitch on the left-hand needle.

Step 2: Drop stitches

Drop the two stitches off the left-hand needle.

Step 3: Pick up loose stitch

Insert the left-hand needle into the loose stitch to pick it up.

Step 4: Slip stitch back

Insert the left-hand needle into the first stitch on the right-hand needle from left to right, and slip it back onto the left-hand needle.

Step 5: Knit two stitches

With the yarn in back. Insert the right-hand needle knitwise into the first stitch on the left-hand needle, wrap the yarn counterclockwise around the right-hand needle, and pull it through to create a new stitch. Slip the old stitch off the left-hand needle. Repeat the same process for the next stitch.
