Knit 1 with the loose strand

Step 1: Pick up the loose strand

Hold yarn in back. Insert the LH needle from front to back, under the loose strand behind. Lift it onto the LH needle.

Step 2: Knit the loose strand with next stitch together

Insert the RH needle knitwise into the loose strand and the next stitch on the LH needle, wrap yarn counterclockwise, pull a new loop through both, then drop them off the LH needle.
